Using a rake, the gates are cleared from bottom to top. The rake performs a stroke along the entire length of the gate, and is then fed sideways. This process is repeated until all gates are cleared.
The cleaner can also be supplemented with a belt conveyor and container for your purposes, which carries away debris pulled up from the gates.
